KSHGOA - Kerala State Hire goods owners association

On 21st February 1991, an organisation for hire goods distribution started at Kozhikode with the name of Hire Goods Owners Association .The Association is registered under Society’s Act No.710/91. After expanding the service at Kozhikode the Association strengthened its activities at Malappuram and Kannur. In 1996 September 11th a State committee was formed in a meeting held at Kozhikode, which was attended by Board Members for these three districts. KSHGOA is registered as State committee in 1997 (No.888/97).
KSHGOA protested against the service tax implemented by the Central Government during 1997. Dharnas were conducted at Kannur Kozhikode and Malappuram districts and memorandum were submitted for 60 members who were the participants of Lok Sabha election. Based on these efforts, the Government cancelled the service tax. Indeed it is a credit to the organisation and the initial victory of us. Then after KSHGOA expanded and operates at entire Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Andhra.
